Picture 7If you are looking for a veritable feast of art and culinary workshops, culture and adventure to suit any palate, you’ll love what we have in store for you!

We welcome you to join us for this years exclusive Summer Art Feasts on the island of Poros located in the heart of Greece and Samos island located in eastern Aegean sea! Also on the menu we’ve included the island of Hydra, Nafplion, and Athens. This is an event you’ll remember for a lifetime!

Poros is nestled right in the middle of the Saronic Gulf, 32 miles from Athens.  It is just an hour from the Port of Pireaus by hydrofoil, two and a half hours by ferry boat, or a pleasant two and a half hour ride by car from Athens, where you will be picked up from the airport.  The Greek islands are famous for their beautiful weather, picturesque towns, villages and breathtaking beaches — all excellent reasons for your adventures on the Greek islands.

maincourse-workshopDig in and enjoy! Starting with your very own sketches of what inspires you from your daily adventures. We’ll be painting from some of the most breathtaking views on the island. You will be guided step by step, learning many skills and techniques until your masterpieces are ready to take home with you. Many contemporary and classical techniques are taught to all novice or professional artists. It’s all your choice. We will also go back in time to the island of Hydra where donkeys are the only form of transportation. This scenic island has been famous for inspiring artists for centuries. Indulge a passion or hone a skill.

Opa! There’s lots of snacks to pick and choose from, like yoga on the beach, water sports, beautiful beaches, massage and spa treatments, bouzouki nights, disco parties, shopping, make overs and lots of local tavernas. Because Poros is so small and friendly, you will feel at home and free to explore on your own. It’s such a treat to feel like one of the locals.

Yum! Come walk with us through the charming streets of the island meeting the locals, sampling all the Greek delicacies you can imagine and then some. We’ll head up to the famous clock tower where we will dangle our feet from the cliff and toast the sunset with a glass of local wine. ‘cheers to the sleeping beauty of Poros.’

yacht dinner

Cocktails….. on the Yacht!
Go on.  You know you want to.  The feast isn’t quite over until we’ve enjoyed music, wine, and local Greek delicacies on a private yacht as we watch the sun set over the island.

Brandy and Cognac:
Ahhh!  Elixir of the Gods…   With full hearts we’ll be heading to Athens via historical Corinth. We’ll stop for lunch and an afternoon of shopping in the lovely venetian city of Naplion. In the evening we’ll arrive in Athens where we will enjoy feasting under the shadow of the Acropolis.

Poros and Samos Island

Picture 19Nobel laureate and one of the most prestigious greek poets of the 20th century, George Seferis, vacationed in Poros at the Villa Gallini, writing poems and diaries. He had this to say about Poros: “… It has something of Venice: The canal, communication between the houses being by boats, luxury, idleness, sensual temptation, something lustful, a place for international lovers, providing much magic.  There is something of the closed space here, with the moon high up in the sky, and all day long the copper echo of the music from the naval school…”

Magical sunsets, sparkling water, thick pine forests and spectacular views are just a few of the reasons we’ve planned your Art Feast in Poros and Samos.

We’re  moving the party In August to feast on the playground of Samos, an island ruled by legend and beauty.  We’ll be picking figs and pomegranates, dancing on grapes, and reaping the bounty of the harvest  from the fields.  We’ll be doing some serious organic cooking and feasting  on this island where everything is made of light and color. Not only is Samos an island of overwhelming vegetation, it  is the home of Pythagoras, the father of mathematics, Hera, Aesop, Epicurus, Aristarchus the astronomer, and Evangelia!  Samos has important monuments and historical sights and boasts of some of the most immaculate and beautiful beaches in the world. It also boasts of their own muscat grapes that we’ll be celebrating in the wine festivals around the island.  We couldn’t have found a more magical island, full of hidden treasures and surprising pleasures for your island art feast!
